Con Book

We are looking for contributions for the MiDFur 13 conbook.  These can be full page art, spot art, articles or short stories.  Pieces that are done on theme - "Tails from the Crypt" - will have preference over those that are not.

Art

All art should be scanned at 300dpi *minimum* and saved preferably as a TIFF with LZW or ZIP compression, or a *very* high quality JPEG. Remember that just because it looks good on your screen doesn't mean that its resolution is high enough for good quality printing. Blowing your picture up in size does not increase its resolution.  The book will be printed in full colour, but greyscale art is still welcome.

Text

Text pieces should be in DOC, RTF, or ODT format, and should not be too long. Note that we may have to alter fonts and layout to conform to the convention book, so please do not do any fancy formatting.

Submissions

All submissions must be sent to conbook@midfur.com.au

The deadline is October 31. Please note that due to the large number of submissions we receive, not all pieces entered will be able to make it into the books.

In your e-mail please supply the following information...

  • Real name
  • Any pseudonym with which you wish to be credited
  • A statement conferring the right to print your submission by Australian Furry Conventions in the MiDFur 13 souvenir convention book and/or program booklet
  • If you do not attend MiDFur, you will be entitled to a free copy of the book posted to you, so also please supply a postal address in this case

Advertising

You can also place advertisements in the conbook at the following rates:

  • Full page (A4) $100
  • Half page (Horizontally split page) $60
  • Quarter page (A6) $35

Images for the advertisements must meet the same requirements as art. Send them by email to conbook@midfur.com.au
