Midfur, Heroes and Villains

The Midfur "Board of Directors"

Chairman

CynWolfe

If I could have any super power, it would most certainly be to turn water into wine! Does that classify as a super power? Im not sure. In that case, was Jesus a super hero?

After 4 years of working with MiDFur, I find this annual event an inspiring opportunity to facilitate the coming together of a great community of people with a like mindedness, for the purpose of enjoying each others company, finding solace in each others similarities, whilst respecting each other for our differences. This is diversity. This is the fandom. This... is ... MiDFur!

Media & PR

Kyle Evans

Based in Melbourne, Kyle has been involved with the furry fandom since 2006 and has attended every MiDFur since then. He graduated with a double major in film and animation at Deakin University, is the animator on a London musical about furries called furReality and also co-created Canned Geek; an online resource for geek conventions and events in Australia and New Zealand. Between these experiences, it made sense for Kyle to join the MiDFur board in 2009 as Multimedia and Public Relations.

Dealers Den & Conbook

Goldfur

Born and bred in Melbourne, I've been a fan of anthropomorphics long before there was a fandom.  I attended my very first furry convention in the United States in 1994 for ConFurence 5, and have been going to one or two cons every year since.  During that time I drew a lot, created a unique furry species, and wrote a heck of a lot of stories.  I was one of the members of the very first MidFur furmeet and every one since then.

I have brought all those experiences together to serve on the MiDFur board as the Dealer Den director, and as part of the team putting together this year's souvenir convention book.

So what super power do I have?  When you're a taur with four on the floor, you don't _need_ any more super powers!  But I'm adorable anyway.
=^_^=

Human Resources

ICELERON

My super power? Stength and Ice powers!

Hi everyone! I'm your big cuddly polar bear from Brisbane and I'm in charge of Human Resources. If you see me at the con, feel free to say hi and give me a hug. I'm here to help. If you want to help out in any way for the con as well, please send me an email, I'm sure we can find something for you. I'm excited to be part of MiDFur this year, and I can't wait for you all to see what we have in store!

Security

Rubah Fox

I'm from the United States, Ohio to be exact, where I work with the military as a contractor. My career takes me to some of the most hostile places in the world. When not getting shot at for a living I like to attend furry conventions.

I joined the board after first attending MiDFurX and being asked to join because I'm such a scary person, though I'm not... I swear!

I bring to the MiDFur board an outsider perspective that can spark new ways of doing things. I bring to the convention a commanding force that maintains order during the chaos that can happen when so many gather for a fun time.
The same training I use to keep myself and other alive in combat is the same I use to keep attendees of the convention safe.

I'm looking forward to the next MiDFur so I can reconnect with friends from a far off land I, sadly, don't get to visit too often... and besides, aussies do it better!

Merchandice & Design

Carnival

Hiya everyone! ^_^

I've attending MiDFur in the years since it has become a full-scale convention ((2008)) and hope to now put something back into the cause! I'll be your merchandise tour-guide for this year, expect to see lots of MiDFur flavoured goodies in the shop & at the Con! :'D If there is anything you would LURV to see from us, or have any STUFF-related questions, please drop me a line!

Carnival is also one of the Hosts of the ACTfur show. A fortnightly podcast about the furry fandom, aimed at both people in and out of the fandom

Web & Design

Kraden

Having been heavily involved with MIDfur since it’s entrance to the world as a furry convention, Kraden was the Vice Chairman for MIDFur 2008. Life however, became busy and he found himself caught between time for his life and time for the convention. As such he stepped down from the board for 2009, but in 2010 he wanted to lend whatever help he could, and took on the role of webmaster.
So if the site sucks, blame him.
He’s currently studying Graphic Design and wants to flex his learned muscles as the Art director for the convention book and other assorted visual representations of the convention.
They’ll be awesome, trust the Kraden.
